Our History

Lindsell Train Limited (LTL) established by Michael Lindsell and Nick Train, who worked together for eight years previously.

• Launched The Lindsell Train Investment Trust, listed on the London Stock Exchange.
• Appointed to manage the Finsbury Growth & Income Trust PLC - LTL’s first external client, with Nick Train as portfolio manager.

Appointed to manage the Close Investments (now Lindsell Train) Japanese Equity Fund, with Michael Lindsell as portfolio manager.

Launched the WS Lindsell Train UK Equity Fund, with Nick Train as portfolio manager.

Appointed to manage first Global Equity mandate, a ten stock portfolio, with Michael Lindsell and Nick Train as joint portfolio managers. This was also Lindsell Train’s first US-based client.

Launched the Lindsell Train Global Equity Fund.

Launched the Lindsell Train Global Equity LLC aimed at US-based institutional investors.

James Bullock joins Michael and Nick as joint portfolio manager for all Global Equity portfolios.

Launched the WS Lindsell Train North American Equity Fund, with James Bullock as portfolio manager.

Launched an International/EAFE strategy, including the launch of the Lindsell Train International Equity LLC.  

Madeline Wright joins Nick Train as Co-Portfolio Manager for UK Equity portfolios.
Alexander Windsor-Clive joins James Bullock as Co-Portfolio Manager for North American Equity portfolios.
Ben van Leeuwen joins James Bullock as Co-Portfolio Manager for International Equity portfolios.
